X-tendo is organising a series of national workshops to test and discuss the potential implementation of its ten features for the future of Energy Performance Certificates.  The consortium includes energy agencies across Europe that are developing new metrics and system that could be used on or alongside EPCs, to better promote low carbon buildings.

The Energy Saving Trust is supporting the development and testing and is in charge of the online workshop in Scotland. This meeting will present four of the new features that X-tendo is developing. In this webinar we will be discussing:

• Providing a Smartness indicator on/alongside the EPC
• Providing a Comfort indicator on/alongside the EPC
• Providing an assessment of district heating readiness as part of the EPC process
• Providing more detailed and specific, enhanced recommendations for different energy efficiency measures on the EPC

Each of those approaches might inform future developments of national EPC systems* or be used by private providers developing advice and information resources that work alongside EPCs.
