Enhanced Recommendations
Cost and time constraints often result in EPCs containing standardised and generic recommendations, which often only provide limited value to homeowners or buyers.
The X-tendo methodology for enhanced EPC recommendations will demonstrate a method to automatically generate useful EPC recommendations, extending those currently provided. Additionally, the methodology suggests how to integrate cost assessments to this approach and how to align the recommendations with the national long-term renovation strategies.

Concrete implementation of new energy performance certificates features: testing and results in nine countries
This report provides the summary of the outcomes of the testing activities for each of the 10 features in one or several implementing countries. This is mainly based on the analysis of the evaluation questionnaires filled out by the implementing partners, but also on the content of the testing results reports. The questionnaires hereby consist of general questions along the testing steps, questions on testing time and related costs, an evaluation against defined cross-cutting criteria (Quality and Reliability, User-friendliness, Economic feasibility, and Consistency with ISO/CEN standards) and final thoughts.

User guideline and calculation tool for the feature enhanced recommendations
This material consists of the excel spreadsheet and user guidelines for the X-tendo feature “enhanced recommendations”. It calculates the EPC recommendations in a measure-by-measure approach. For each measure, the specific recommendation, a quantitative assessment of non-energy benefits and the ranges of costs are provided. The tool aims to demonstrate how to automatically enhance EPCs’ recommendations which could be incorporated into national EPC calculation software.
